Shiner, I expect better of you than this.  You are not Häagen Das.

Yeah, to most Americans, the umlaut is just something you pepper a word with to make it look more German. In this case though, it doesn’t even achieve those ends. That word to me looks Swedish, or possibly of some Slavic extraction… Slavic beer? Don’t they immediately distill that into vodka?

Anyways, I could go on for ages about umlauts, but I think you’re the only other person on earth that it matters to in the same way.

I know the shiners bock from my visits in Tx , but not this new type. It is called “Dortmunder style”. In Germany we know still Dortmunder Bier = Export. It is stronger than Pilsner (5.5 Vol.-%) and sweeter- you can drink it better from the bottle than Pilsner. Ist Fröst such kind of beer ?

I have not purchased any Fröst. I do not know when you were last in Texas; however, ever since 2001 or 2002, Shiner has been brewing many alternatives to Shiner Bock and Shiner Hefeweizen.
I may be in Shiner (the town) soon, and I will inquire about it if I go.
